What is a Clutch Pad?
What is a Clutch Pad?
Which is the main element of the clutch system, receives the power transmitted to the engine and sends it to the wheels.
This clutch lining, which is in semi-automatic or manual gear cars, is looked at with friction and heating effect as the mileage increases. However, since the grip condition is also worn out after a certain period of time, the pressure pad system needs to be changed.
Some people finish the lining fluid at about 30 thousand kilometers for various reasons, while some people use this fluid up to 120 thousand kilometers. Service visibility is 70-80 thousand kilometers.
We can understand that the clutch lining is thinning due to an increase in fuel consumption, problems with engine traction, reduced serial operation of the engine, the car shakes a lot when taking off, the clutch grip point rises, a bad smell appears when stopping or getting up a slope.
Clutch Testing
It is a test that helps to see if your pressure pad is decreasing. So how is this clutch test performed?
-First of all, we start the car and take the gear one by one,
-Then, while pressing the gas with the tip of our right foot and pressing the brake with the heel, the engine should exit until it reaches 3000 revolutions,
-The foot is pulled heavily from the clutch,
-It is understood that the clutch pad performs its function when the speed drops and stops after the clutch point.
-If this process takes place in the opposite way, it is understood that the linings should be changed now.
